Day 20 - deep creek to cleghorn picnic area
April 16 | Miles 309 - 328
The morning began with a stunning walk through a gorgeous canyon.
The miles flew by as the trail spat us out near a water processing plant.
We passed by a bridge, under which apparently there was a Spanish man playing a recorder. We missed it.
A small climb later, we were treated to amazing views of the shining Silverwood Lake.
We chilled for a few hours after having busted out the morning miles. From there it was only about 2 miles to the campsite.
One of the dudes was generous enough to treat us all to our own pizzas & soda. We feasted and chatted with some southbound hikers for a few hours before cowboy camping under a giant pavilion. I got one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had on trail. A beautiful day it was.
